The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) is a key player in research, development and innovation in four main areas: defence and security, low carbon energies (nuclear and renewable energies), technological research for industry, fundamental research in the physical sciences and life sciences. Drawing on its widely acknowledged expertise, the CEA actively participates in collaborative projects with a large number of academic and industrial partners.

CEA will be involved in the project through its Liten institute, which is devoted to the development of innovative technologies for the energy transition. CEA-Liten has a staff of 975 people, an annual budget of 138 million euros, and has more than 200 industrial partners from a wide range of market segments: energy, transport, aerospace, construction, civil engineering, environmental, and IT industries, amongst others. Intellectual property forms a major part of CEA-Liten activities, with a portfolio of 1,600 international patents.

In the INES campus (French Institute for Solar Energy), CEA-Liten performs activities on solar photovoltaics (covering the complete value chain of photovoltaics, from materials to cells, modules and systems), solar thermal energy, energy networks (power grids and heating and cooling networks), and energy-efficient buildings.

Ener.gi is an innovative start-up operating in the field of sustainable mobility. The aim of the people involved in the Ener.gi is to contribute in the developing of a green mobility consciousness. This is essential nowadays considering that we are laying the foundations for a more environmentally centred future and for that to happen it is necessary to include the concept of sustainable mobility. To make this happen Ener.gi in the past few years has developed and tested an innovative device that optimizes many aspects of the car-sharing applied to electric vehicles. From the dematerialisation of the key and the management of the rent via app to the tools that help in the monitoring of the vehicle’s charging phase. The future sees Ener.gi involved in many projects that concern the development of alternative electric mobility systems capable to reduce the environmental impact of local transport.

The goal of Ener.gi in the IBecome project is to integrate mobility between the services that can be provided and managed by the vBMS.
