Between March 12th and 15th, 2024, Cannes, France, hosted MIPIM, an urban festival shaping the future of the built environment. This event brought together diverse stakeholders including the real estate community, investors, tech innovators, and civic leaders, fostering discussions and collaborations to create more sustainable and prosperous places for all.
At MIPIM, our partner R2M proudly represented iBECOME, showcasing a range of research projects and technologies aimed at supporting decarbonisation strategies within the real estate industry. Through face-to-face meetings and discussions, we highlighted the crucial role of EU-funded research projects in driving innovation and shaping the future of the building sector.
With iBECOME, our primary focus is on developing intelligent building asset control systems tailored for building renovations, thereby significantly enhancing energy efficiency and automation within the built environment. Alongside, our sister project Auto-DAN showcased their approach, leveraging augmented intelligence solutions to empower buildings in self-optimising energy consumption. Additionally, R2M presented the ENSNARE project, highlighting their implementation of Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) renovation packages, which play a pivotal role in elevating sustainability standards within the industry.
Throughout the event, we engaged with industry leaders, showcasing how innovative technologies facilitate energy efficiency and optimisation in buildings. Alessandro Lodigiani, R2M’s Country Manager, participated in an interview with Quotidiano Immobiliare, discussing how innovation can drive green investments and support ESG standards.
Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards a greener, more efficient built environment.
