iBECOME’s Final General Assembly: celebrating achievements and planning for post-project sustainability

As we approach the culmination of the iBECOME project in Month 48, we celebrated a significant milestone with our Final General Assembly (GA) on May 23rd, 2024, at the Hotel Ramandolo in Udine, Italy. This 8th assembly served as a pivotal moment for reflecting on our accomplishments and strategically planning for future initiatives.

Highlights from the event include a project management update by IESR&D, offering valuable insights into technical progress, milestone statuses, and risk mitigation plans. Sessions on Helix, Country Crest, ASP, and World Trade Center showcased crucial progress in service deployment.

The session on the Technoeconomic feasibility of services and business model validation, led by R2M, highlighted the financial viability of iBECOME’s innovations. Additionally, a session on EPC structures and business models emphasised the project’s commitment to commercial viability and scalability. Post-lunch, the focus shifted to Dissemination and Communication, Exploitation, Training, and Sustainability plans, affirming dedication to knowledge dissemination and lasting impact.

Visit to pilot ASP di Venzone

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the event was the visit to ASP Venzone. Partners gained firsthand insights into key aspects of the iBECOME project, discussing co-benefits such as indoor air quality monitoring and optimisation of comfort conditions with Mayor Amedeo Pascolo and ASP Director Annalisa Faggionato.

Mayor Pascolo emphasised the project’s cultural and economic significance, noting its impact on heritage conservation and energy savings. ASP Director Annalisa Faggionato highlighted the project’s role in understanding energy usage and optimising resources for the well-being of residents and workers.

The building, a former convent with a rich history, showcased the project’s application in a residential care facility, emphasising its relevance in heritage conservation and sustainable living.

As we bid farewell to the Final GA, we extend our gratitude to all participants for their invaluable contributions. With renewed determination, we look forward to continuing our journey towards a more sustainable future.
