On May 21-22, 2024, iBECOME took centre stage at the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) Cross-Programme Buildings Clustering Meeting in Brussels. This event served as a crucial moment in bridging the gap between building sector research and policy implementation.
The primary objectives of the meeting were to showcase the tangible achievements of EU-funded projects in driving the energy transition within the building sector. Attendees had the opportunity to present and discuss best practices, market successes, and policy support actions across various EU-funded projects, including LIFE CET & Climate, H2020, and Horizon.
The meeting featured a plenary session highlighting key elements of EU energy efficiency policies and programmes, followed by parallel sessions covering building rating instruments, deep renovation, and smart buildings and services. iBECOME, represented by R2M Solutions, was prominently featured in these discussions.
Sara Momi, EU R&I Manager and Business Developer at R2M Solutions, showcased the innovative iBECOME virtual Building Management System, with a focus on the ASP Venzone pilot case in Italy. Her presentation provided valuable insights into Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) ratings, contributing significantly to the ongoing dialogue.
In addition to iBECOME, other pioneering projects like the Smart Square Project, SRI2Market, V2Market, SMART2B, and EBENTO were also highlighted. These initiatives enriched the dialogue, emphasizing the diverse range of innovative solutions available in the building sector.
