iBECOME recently participated in the hybrid Smart Readiness Indicator Joint Event held in Brussels on March 7th. Our coordinator, Dimitrios Ntimos from IES R&D, represented us as a panellist in the discussion on “Assessing Building Smartness: Technical Frameworks and Procedural Intricacies of the Building Smartness Audit.” This roundtable explored various aspects of assessing building smartness alongside other innovative projects.
During the event, we proudly displayed a roll-up banner featuring iBECOME’s latest results. Organised by the Smart Square project in collaboration with LIFE CET SRI Cluster projects like SRI2MARKET, EasySRI, and SRI-ENACT, the event provided valuable insights into the smart readiness of European buildings.
The program included the SRI Platform 4th Plenary Meeting, featuring discussions led by the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy and the European Climate, Infrastructure, and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). Expert talks and panel discussions on SRI streamlining and detailed assessment also took place, alongside an exhibition of funded SRI projects.
The SRI Joint Event showcased various initiatives contributing to the advancement of smart building technologies and the clean energy transition, including iBECOME.
