The 10th annual edition of Sustainable Places (SP2022) will be a hybrid event, from 6th September to 9th September, with the in-person sessions hosted in Nice, France. Each year, Sustainable Places features topics that are shaping how we think about buildings and the built environment. iBECOME will feature in a variety of ways at this year’s event including involvement in a workshop, a presentation, and a poster.
Workshop
Innovations for Upgrading the Smartness of Buildings workshop is organised by SmartBuild4EU and features several h2020 Project include Auto-DAN,Smart2B, COLLECTiEF, PRELUDE, SATO, PHOENIX and iBECOME. The workshop will first propose a status update on the testing and implementation of the SRI indicator across Europe, with an outline of the supporting framework and activities provided by the SmartBuilt4EU project. Following this, the projects mentioned above will pitch the value proposition of their expected smart building innovations and associated impacts. Finally, all participants will be invited to reflect and provide feedback on the roadmap and Smart Building R&I priorities developed by the SmartBuilt4EU project in a joint collective and interactive session. Dimitrios Ntimos (IES) will represent iBECOME during this workshop.
Presentation
iBECOME will also feature in the “AI and Digitization” paper sessions with a presentation by project coordinator Dimitrios Ntimos (IES) discussing Automation of building energy model calibration for improving operational efficiency in buildings.
Poster
The project will also be visible in the poster presentation area in which we will have a poster showcasing the key achievements of the project.
